At the conference, I attended a session on video blogging with Ryanne Hodson and was inspired to go play in a vlog sandbox. So, I played and played and posted the good, the bad, and the ugly on YouTube , OurMedia , and Blip.TV. I was also curious to see whether there were nonprofits using vlogs to promote their causes.

I'm thinking about the use of video or vlog posts coupled with fundraising widgets as well as some other possible ways (ad revenue from web videos?) The most recent project this group organized was a campaign for " Lost in Light " See the video proposal here. I did a campaign video. I contributed. I love retro film.).

A few months ago YouTube announced that organizations that are in the YouTube Nonprofit Program. In addition to only appearing in a very limited way on the video, it only works on YouTube and not when you embed the video on other sites. would be able to use the overlay advertising feature to create donation links.
