I took screenshots with Skitch , recorded movies with Jing. And it was cumbersome to organize and build. I considered making a private Posterous or blog for the docs, but I think I'm going to stick to HTML where the template is easier to edit, and I can more easily organize content and embed in Salesforce. Took forever.

Then I pulled together the visuals and audio and organized them by tips and wove them together. One my failures was an attempt to get the interviewees to use Jing to answer my interview questions. Then, attempt to screencapture the jing recording or transform the.swf file into.wmv or.avi and pull into Camtasia.

TechSmith also makes cool free/paid video capture Jing as well more complex Camtasia – all good. I still often prefer to take notes on paper in a meeting, but when on my own, Evernote is a great place to organize research: visit a site, grab some information, annotate it, and there you have it when you need to write something.
