OOo Calc integrates really nicely with databases and stuff (I know that wasn’t too articulate, but I know what I know and not what I don’t. OOo Calc will open your txt files in OOo Writer no matter what they contain. Macros are much more intuitive in whatever language Excel uses than in whatever it is that OOo Calc uses.

Forms sent go to email, or a separate database, and someone manually enters that data into the CRM. I know a lot of the free site tools, wikis like wetpaint.com, keep trying to move to become more social, and let the audience/membership interact more – that is definitely related. The old fashioned form of integration.

You have to pay to use their corporate wiki software “Confluence&# , but they bundle the source code with the licence so you can customise (and improve) the software yourself. .&# The “free&# aspect of open source is definitely a draw to the neophyte; that doesn’t mean that proprietary is the only way to go afterwards.

Crabgrass is written in Ruby on Rails, and has groups, messaging and wikis, among other features. tools (blogs, wikis, etc.). at 5:53 am BuddyPress is amazing… but it lacks wiki’s and document sharing… which are two massive shortcomings for it’s use as a sharing and collaboration network for organizations.
