Cultivate contacts made at blogher - You get energized from a conference and then you go home and don't reconnect. Use Mary Hodder 's tip of not having to point to technorati.

Over the past year, I've done a lot of live blogging which is basically taking notes at lectures, conferences, and presentations of what was said. Because I've had such bad luck with wifi connections at conferences, I use blogging software that let's me save my work offline. So, you have to not be afraid of making mistakes.
