Drupal, Joomla and Plone! Oh my!

April 15, 2007 At NTC , there was a lot of talk about the “big three&# open source CMS packages that most people these days in our sector are using: Drupal , Plone , and Joomla. I hadn’t had experience with either Plone or Joomla, but in talking to folks both at NTC and Penguin Day about Joomla, I got intrigued.

Back Channels, Workflow, Data, Twitter, and me

But why not add another channel to the back channel happenings, for instance, at NTC ? My workflow does involve the web, for sure, but I can only keep up with so many social networking sites of varied uses (social bookmarking, social networking like Linked in, community blogs etc. Sounds like a reasonable idea. Integration of CRM and CMS

I know that’s one more thing in a long list of considerations (and it’s generally more important to think about for the CRM – the CMS, if it is modern, and especially if it is open source, will provide few barriers to integration.) To some extent it also depends on how open the CMS is with regard to extensibility.
