November is National Native American Heritage Month! This important awareness month is dedicated to honoring the contributions of Indigenous American Indians and the history of the country’s first stewards. Several other states celebrated American Indian Day on the fourth Friday in September.

Giving your supporters a way to celebrate their Dad and give back can be a wonderful tradition to start in a community. Also, Father’s day actually owes its history to nonprofits for its creation, so supporting charity is in the day’s DNA. Dodd created the first Father’s Day celebration in Spokane, Washington on June 19, 1910.

Today, we are still a small organization with only seven staff members, five based in our Virginia office.
