Danah Boyd One issue came up over the fact that women don't network. Actually, women are traditionally the maintainers of domestic social networks. They tend to network more than men. Basically, a couple months before your book's release you contact bloggers, podcasters and vloggers whose audiences are a good fit for your book and ask them if they would like to interview you, review your book, have you guest post, or host an interactive event with you using a service like Gabbly. You may also want to start Twittering.

It meant that I missed what Joe Casco had to say about Social Networking Fatique - I hope he blogs it). David Tames and I did a session called crash course on social media tools for filmmakers. Keywords in your profiles in your social networking site, like flickr. Website grader - useful tool to search trends.
