I didn't know the software like the back of my hand. So that left me with a few hours of video and audio to edit and that's too much to do in Camtasia. Because the screencast is conversational, the screen doesn't have to exactly synch the audio. I also had to edit down the screencapture to match the audio length.

This is interesting to me because Second Life is quite the opposite - there is a huge investment in learning the tools, there is no audio (although that is changing) and it is all visual. I posted a question on the educator listserv and there doesn't seem to be one. How much does this help or hinder effective collaboration?
