While I was with the American Cancer Society, we were inspired by an amazing monitoring system developed by the Humane Society. You can make one, too: type in Cancer (or your own keyword) at search.twitter.com and see what results are returned. In 2008, I helped start the Frozen Pea Fund against breast cancer.

The example I talk about in the poem covers the initial use of NWF's twitter accounts and then continues to how we actually starting using it to improve and grow one of our programs- "wildlife watch". is a great example of this. Flickr bc have established presence there and can cross post for bigger influence. Oh me oh my.
