The graphic, provided by Convio , compares the growth of online giving between the years of 2008 to 2010, these numbers have only grown over the past 3 years and are continuing to increase. In fact: Online donations rose by 14% between 2011 and 2012. Contributions to the nations largest charities also grew by about 14%.

Thankfully, a recent survey conducted by BoardSource in 2012 shows signs of increased governance among nonprofits 2. Sixty-two percent of respondents felt that the board was ‘well informed” or “very well informed” of its responsibilities” as compared to 58% in 2010.
