Author: Rachel Muir. Why is our industry plagued with so many terrible mission statements? You know the ones…they include meaningless words like “outreach” or “integrity.” Wordy, vague, fuzzy, with a gratuitous gloss of inspiration layered thick on the top. Completely forgettable and even our staff stumble on their words to get it out.

As we begin the countdown to our Winter release, I wanted to share my top 4 list of the nerdiest, but nonetheless super cool, upcoming enhancements. If, like me, you spend much of your time knee deep in code, hopefully you'll derive as much joy from this list as me.

Author: Jonathan Weldon. In case you haven't noticed some odd looking facial hair over the last month, November, or as we like to call it Movember, is Mustache Growing Season. Movember is a "moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men's health.” This all started back in 2003 where a couple of friends in Australia, where a Mo is slang for mustache, decided to grow a mustache and raise money for some good causes.

What could be better than a fabulous organization getting recognized for the important work they do by the entire Convio community during our recent Convio Summit in Baltimore ? Not much else, that’s what. And like overly enthusiastic Convion I am, I stood proudly as the Project on Government Oversight 's name was called as the 2011 Innovator Award Winner for best Overall Use of Convio.
