Mission Statements That Matter

Connection Cafe

Author: Rachel Muir. Why is our industry plagued with so many terrible mission statements? Not much else, that’s what. And like overly enthusiastic Convion I am, I stood proudly as the Project on Government Oversight 's name was called as the 2011 Innovator Award Winner for best Overall Use of Convio.

Connection Cafe

Author: Cheryl Black. A couple jobs ago I was working in a mid-sized nonprofit and trying to sell the communications director and executive team on the idea of launching a Facebook page. As a recent college grad at that time, I knew people and organizations were connecting on social media but that our organization should be there was really more of a gut feeling.
