Document your data entry standards, policies, and procedures before training so users are taught to do things the right way from the start. Test the computers and software in the classroom before every training.

3) Find resources to build your skills, and give them time every week: webinars, listservs, online classes, books, etc. My policy is, I say hello to people, and might chat for a minute or so. One which they may not is LS-TECH, the tech listserv for legal services, which is quite a large slice of the national nonprofit sector.
