That's why I remixed the fundraising widget on my blog in support of Creative Commons Annual Campaign. The Chase Community Giving contest on Facebook is one of the biggest online contests thus far, open to more than 500,000 charities. Very interesting to see the American Cancer Society on the list as its budget - according to a 2005 annual report linked on their Guidestar Profile is well over $10 million).

In less than 24 hours, I've raised $806 to help children in Cambodia using a new feature in Facebook Causes. Not two minutes had passed after I set up my birthday campaign and added it to my profile, I got pinged from Facebook friends asking how they could install it. Every year I do a fundraising campaign using social media.

One particular quote jumped out at me, "The Facebook generation wears their causes like the way they wear their favorite fashion." I placed the photo of me wearing my newest Creative Commons T-Shirt on blog - and of course added it to my Facebook profile and on Twitter , you'll see the Creative Commons Logo with a donate message.
