On June 4, we opened The Tech Virtual Test Zone , a new 2000 sq ft gallery at The Tech Museum of Innovation featuring exhibits on the theme of art, film, and music that were originally developed in Second Life by a community of creative amateurs. In Second Life, I am not an expert--but many of our virtual exhibit designers are.

I had a healthy second life as a slam poet, and I loved the world of artists and performance. In 2004, Anna was the Director of Exhibitions and Programs at the International Spy Museum. It took blogging and developing a specific interest for me to gain the confidence and voice to know what I wanted to ask.

the Exploratorium did something really big for the August 1 eclipse and they are all over Second Life (source: Technorati ). The majority of blog traffic mentioning the Exploratorium in the last month has focused on their coverage of the eclipse and a variety of Second Life initiatives.

It's a warning sign when community members make comments like , "it was only boundless encouragement from Avi (Nina's Second Life avatar) that prevented me from giving up more than once." But they are more importantly the face and voice of the institution to everyone online, a floor staff army of one. This is a problem.
