On June 4, we opened The Tech Virtual Test Zone , a new 2000 sq ft gallery at The Tech Museum of Innovation featuring exhibits on the theme of art, film, and music that were originally developed in Second Life by a community of creative amateurs. In Second Life, I am not an expert--but many of our virtual exhibit designers are.

It's a warning sign when community members make comments like , "it was only boundless encouragement from Avi (Nina's Second Life avatar) that prevented me from giving up more than once." One of the community managers I most admire is Beck Tench at the Museum of Life and Science. A good community manager can make that happen.
