I thought I had posted this case study from the NTC 08 Panel called "Social Media Case Study Slam" already, but looks like I didn't. This case study is by Danielle Brigida from the NWF and her experience using Digg and StumbleUpon for generating traffic. Today I'll be talking about using Digg and Stumbleupon specifically.

The NTEN's NTC and NPTech Pipe. We have the NPTech Meta Tag Feed (which aggregates about dozen feeds of NpTech tagged items and I'm still using for various reasons); Kikono.org (which uses an NpTech feed and digg like features) and now we have the two pipes from NTEN - the NTC pipe and the NpTech Pipe. In a few weeks, there will be a video blogging geekout session at NTC. How did the idea of using YouTube to message about your organization come about? We agreed You Tube should be used to showcase video when we decided to experiment with other forms of "emerging technology" like Digg, Flickr, etc.

It is based on some open source code called Pligg that creates a "digg" like interface. See3 Blog writes about the advantages of the Convio Face App (integration with organization's Convio database) and the limitations (can only run one Facebook app at time). NTEN's Call for NTC Sessions - Deadline October 24th. The NTC is the nonprofit technology's field largest gathering. More from the Convio Summit this week.
