It being 2015 the first place I looked is Wikipedia (of course) and found this: Skills Management. Terrific, a Wiki about skills management! The Wiki really does sum up many important elements of skills management: Definition: The practice of understanding, developing, and deploying people and their skills.

Last week I defined skills management by referencing and summarizing an existing Wikipedia article. Interesting, Wikicities was mentioned by SJ Klein during the Berkman Center Thursday blogger meeting session on wikipedias. (I One is wikis. I hope to post an interview with SJ soon.)

The second reason is a clear definition of what social media is, even within the social media community. However, very few people use these terms precisely and almost nobody agrees on the exact definition of these terms. Wikis are a perfect example of co-creation. Used precisely, these terms can mean very different things.

The definition of links or how you're connected is defined however you want. The Core are people who do most of the work (think wikipedia editors.)
