Today, Friday May 4, 2012, is my last day at Convio. In the end I decided to reflect on my favorite quote by Mahatma Gandhi, “be the change you wish to see in the world,” as I feel it encapsulates the Convio story very well. I believe Convio is emblematic of this model.

And when formulas get complex we can finally add comments in the text to document what on earth we were thinking when we wrote them (also helps troubleshoot a complicated formula if parts can be commented out while testing). The hover help text has been great on custom fields to explain to users what data is expected in a field.

One thing I am not seeing, from our adwords, is conversion in terms of newsletter subscriptions (we dont sell products on our site). Its all about coming up with great ideas, and testing, testing, testing. Ive been trying things out with Convio for a year and a half now and I still have a lot more I want to try!
