I join as many social media sites as I can and try to spend time learning each community so I can offer advice to others on how to engage with them. Name: Danielle Brigida.

Tagging, a feature found across many social media channels, is used to help surface content during searches. While it is a feature of many social sharing sites, often times those very sites do not provide beginner-friendly instructions on how to use tags effectively.

I spend a lot (and I mean a lot) of time trying to figure out how to use social networking, bookmarking and news sites to enhance the National Wildlife Federation's online presence. My co-worker, Anne Keisman, recently came to me for advice on how she could get started using social media to promote web content. Everyone wins!

Unless you are an Internet personality, an organization with a full-time community manager or a professional online content publisher, there is not enough time to succeed in the multitude of social networks AND manage your own social content. The tag is still active on Twitter and other places. I found it overwhelming!

We're talking about tools like Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit and others. Micro Media: Any form of concentrated content created using social tools that broadcast text, voice, images, or video to targeted Web and mobile communities. This includes Twitter, Utterli, and Sesmic.

apps out there, and beginning to try and use them to create content and organize my life, I have come to the following conclusion: the apps are great, but integration still sucks. And, I also don’t want to do too much cross-posting of content. I now have accounts at del.icio.us, ma.gnolia, furl, and stumbleupon.

I usually do this in a room with a quick poll, but I wanted to push myself to create the content based on their questions. For example, you can use Twitter as both a listening tool and for participation. You can listen with google alerts, technorati, twitter, and RSS readers. In A Museum?
