I use DropBox to make sure I have important files with me (and to hold my 1Password keychain file s o my login passwords are automatically synced ). The one problem I haven’t been able to solve in my dual-Mac life is my iPhone. LogMeIn (free) if I really do need to “call home.&# Maybe, but not ideal.

I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I've had a problem for many years. Exported my contacts from Outlook into Gmail. In Outlook, I have extensive folder file system with accompanying rules. Then I will disable Outlook account information and just keep that archive until I've transfered all my historic info that I really need.

Lists of contacts, with their "available," "busy," and "away" notation let you know whether the person you are trying to reach is at their computer. IM shares this problem; if you don't have an IM client, I can't IM you. I worked with a composer who transferred almost all of his audio files to me via IM.

I love having all 3,000 of my contacts on my phone, as well as my calendar, tasks, and notes. The best solution seems to be to sync my calendar with Google (less of a worry than storing my contacts there) and use the free Google Calendar Search app. WebOS apps or mobile versions solve many of these problems. Why a Palm?
