The causes that are supported are listed here a good mix of wildlife conservation, hunger, and others. Sort of like embedded giving that Lucy Bernholz talks about, I think. The application is well designed and is fun. This idea is really cool for a couple of reasons.

You can also Adopt an Acre in your Dad's name through Nature Conservancy. On Twitter, @ maggieleithead (Maggie Leithead) writes that she gave her dad a CPAWS (Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society) donation last year.

An easy way to support the Nature Conservancy if you're on Facebook is to install (Lil) Green Patch. July: Ah, those summer months when we spend hours outside in the sun and fun. September is Hunger Awareness Month so why not give a donation of canned goods and cash to your local food bank?

So, now is the fun part. Nature Conservancy. Examples include Creative Commons Swag Contest and Fight Hunger Video Contest. The themes science, environmental, nutrition, economic development, children, youth, parenting, and leadership are very much appropriate as this conference agenda from the NACDEP and ACE/NETC shows.
