Here's a random selection of strange and/or lame spams I've received recently. This one may not be spam, but I'm not going to click and find out. Suzhou Sunshine is possibly one of the largest supplier of kinds of Welder helmet from China. Yes, the hyperlink was the first line of the spam, and points where it says it does.

Out of curiosity I looked into those domains and they were both licensed by someone in China using the same hotmail address. On one message it pointed to a link on salesforceappi.com, on another it pointed to a link on upsclients.org.

That's the warning coming through the NTEN Discuss list this week when someone asked the list for advice about their domain, which someone from China emailed them they should "protect" by registering other like-domains through them. Robert Weiner has been documenting this type of SPAM and sharing with the community since 2008.

We recently saw this in the Google/China case where Chinese crackers (bad hackers) broke into activist Gmail accounts. For more info, web search for: hacking "inside job" (As of late, the China/Google scandal commandeers at least the first three search pages. For many of these issues, good spam/virus filtering is essential.
