You can listen with google alerts, technorati, Twitter search, and RSS readers. There are many different tools to support this - from leaving comments on blogs or using twitter. Buzz tools include FriendFeed, Twitter, StumbleUpon, and Digg - and of course you add many others to this category that are found in other categories.

They built an iGoogle dashboard and fed RSS feeds based on information they were seeking in online social networks. Then, grab the search RSS feed and add it to your iGoogle. We used this technique for DIGG, forums, Twitter, Bing, and Google and then set up various searches along with monitoring of certain Twitter feeds.
