We took childhood cancer statistics and had it spelled out in the shape of a gold ribbon. But they aren’t done: they continue to launch new successful campaigns.

Kickstarter makes it clear that it isn't for direct charity or cause funding, but about project creation. Bottom line: I love Indiegogo's nonprofit perks, especially the verified nonprofit badge you can put on your page.
