I scan the tagged items every week and do a pattern analysis and summary of these undifferentiated items. Obviously, it ain't no taxonomy and it shouldn't substitute for one. What if we thought of the NPTech Tag as a way to aggregate and facilitate a more focused distributed conversation and the summary is, well, a summary.

Is that a formalized taxonomy or not? There is a usefulness for a formal taxonomy or making it easy to find specific items, particularly for second wave adopters who may not be good at pattern analysis skills or people who can deal with messier data. There is an interest in a community filtering concept.

I’ve been playing with the conversational panel or conversational keynote models for short sessions (60, 75 or 90 minutes.) I had mic runners stationed at different quadrants of the room who would go to the person who wanted to speak. It was hard to get people as engaged as a full group after the table discussions.
