In its nearly 1,400 year history the civilization of Islam has developed immense diversity. The project is active in Iraq and Kenya. They have teamed up with the American Islamic Congress and the FREE Syria Foundaiton to bring their “ Interrupters Program ” to over 130 Syrian volunteers working on the ground there.

Capitalism and socialism are wrestling themselves to death in the tar pit of history. Back in the day, my generation prided itself on our social consciousness and activism, but we weren’t nice at all. Are there some nonprofit social enterprise opportunities you’re seeing opening up? And I do see that movement building.
