Source: Weather Channel Alerts 2009 was looking like a very uneventful hurricane season. If you can help out in the next 48 hours, please let Andy know by responding to this thread. He set up a Ning site Hurricane Information Center. That is until Hurricane Ida slammed into El Salvador killing 91 people as of this writing.

Marc Andreessen, who is, of late, connected to Ning, has a great blog entry with details. Google has a number of partners, including social network sites like LinkedIn, Friendster and Ning, as well as Salesforce, which does have very interesting implications given the increasing use of Salesforce in the nonprofit sector.

We at the Diabetes Hands Foundation started the Big Blue Test in 2009 with a simple premise meant to raise awareness about the importance of physical activity for diabetes management: testing your blood sugar, exercising 14 minutes, testing your blood sugar again and sharing the results with the community. They become viral. 1 and Nov.

You can get involved with OTM's work by participating in an OTM workshop , becoming a member of their Ning social network , and taking the 2008 Seva Challenge. Suzanne of Suzanne's Seva Challenge was written up in her local newspaper: Yoga workshop inspires woman to help Cambodian kids. The second program is What's Your Tree?
