At the beginning of each of my webinars, I poll my attendees: “Where did you first find out about this webinar?&# Online giving in 2008 was up 44% from 2007. Early estimates for 2009 show an increase in online donations of 46% from 2008. Facebook/YouTube/MySpace Comments and Twitter Mentions. Online Donations.

In 2008, many of the friends of the Nonprofit Organizations MySpace migrated over to Facebook, then in 2009 and 2010 a good number of the new fans came from @NonprofitOrgs on Twitter. Tags: Facebook. Last week the Nonprofit Organizations Facebook Page reached the 10,000 fans milestone. That said, this information is very useful.

I've been thinking about how to best incorporate the back channel or in this case Twitter. Two recent blogs, " How To Present While People Are Twittering " and " Trends in Leadership Conferences " are the most recent blog posts packed with advice. The tool of choice has changed from IRC or Meebo to Twitter and the use of hashtags.

Tom Dawkins, who is responsible for Ashoka Tweets, offered to write a guest post reflecting on some best practices for using Twitter. We wanted to continue to play this role on Twitter.

Poll your constituency to see what they are already listening to to find themes that are appealing etc. ID3 tags - can use itunes for this, drag album art and file over. iTunes - want to use their tags and categories, and get the direct link to your itunes listing.
