Ushahidi BRCK: Bringing Internet to the Developing World

Here’s some news on a now famous NetSquared alumnus project. Ushahidi is an NGO headquartered in Kenya. Ushahidi was a NetSquared Mashup Challenge winner in the fabled 2008 Netsquared conference in Santa Clara, California. I first heard about this from Marnie Webb, who co-founded NetSquared.

Using an event such as the 2008 financial crisis as a backdrop, he hopes to be able to back-test his hypothesis against the volumes of data generated around the same time.
