The Press Institute for Women in the Developing World is an international nonprofit organization and citizen journalism initiative. In January, Cristi was named one of the 21 Leaders of the 21st Century for 2008 by Women's eNews. She was also awarded their annual Ida B. Wells prize for Bravery in Journalism.
