I launched a bloggers campaign as part of the Sharing Foundation's America Giving Challenge. Heres a recent photo of Jack and Mom taken in December 2007. I turned to one of my favorite nonprofit marketing bloggers and colleagues, Marc Sirkin , for some advice and help with the America's Giving Challenge for the Sharing Foundation.

Of note, I wanted to let you know that the reflection paper about America's Giving Challenge from the Case Foundation has been published ( Allison Fine and I were the co-authors.) to test out some ways to encourage more people to use social media tools and online fundraising to give online, they did not know what would emerge.

Perhaps if DimDim were also to release a version that integrated with Skype … I can’t figure out from looking around their site whether it is cross-platform enough to share desktops, but I signed up for the beta, so I guess I’ll test it out. October 2007 This campaign was for $1,000 to send a young Cambodian woman, Leng Sopharath, to college.

I was an early adopter of this approach back in 2006 and over the years I have had the opportunity to raise over $250,000 for a charity that supports Cambodian children using these techniques as part of online giving contests like the Case Foundation’s America’s Giving Challenge.
