A $9,000 gift is received and approved from an unknown entity (in this case a “Cassandra Harvey”), with Smyrna, GA address, Yahoo email and legitimate phone number. I would like to make everyone aware of a recent situation here that is most likely a scam to launder stolen credit card funds, appearing as a gift.

But would it have been too hard to at least make the sending email address (@gmail) match the reply-to address (@yahoo)? I'm charmed by the tortured grammar in this spam. Sender: Robert Grant (robertgrantinvest3@gmail.com). Subject: willing to invest. Text: Top of the day to you. interest.

I also looked at the domain registration for instant-acrobat-upgrade.com and it's registered to someone in Oslo (actually, Oslo,Oslo,AF 0951) with a Yahoo email address. Not a deal-breaker by itself, but another red flag. So I'm assuming this is malware. McAfee's site advisor says it's queued for evaluation.
