Second Life, the on-line parallel universe, is a controversial topic. I was wandering by Second Life interviews onsite at Davos. But, hearing something like the following story makes me feel good about Linden Labs, the folks that operated Second Life.

The particular issue that concerns Hiroshi right now is the Second Life problem, 3D avatar immersive environments. To some disability groups, Second Life is wonderful. Of course, Second Life is completely inaccessible to blind people right now. phenomena.

At the NCTI conference, we also heard from someone from Second Life. Larry Goldberg of NCAM/WGBH brought up that they were starting to work on access with Linden Labs, the maker of Second Life. I've played it for a while, and thought it was well done. That was great news!
