After the recent Nepal earthquake , the Canadian nonprofit, GlobalMedic , flew drones over the affected areas to create 3D maps of the worst-hit zones. In Africa, conservation drones are being used to locate rhinoceros poachers. In the Mediterranean , drones are patrolling the coasts to locate refugees and save lives.
