Folks have set up, in addition to the traditional listservs, an online channel for the Bookshare.org community that allows both voice chat and text messaging in a way that is highly accessible to people with disability. I love technology for its own sake, but it's always good to experience how technology promotes connections among people!

Reading our volunteer email listserv this morning, I came across lyrics to a song about our volunteer community. This is always a cause for celebration by our team, recognizing the incredible amount of work involved in bringing each book to our Bookshare.org members by our volunteers and collection development staff.
