Using Google Hangout, you can switch between slides and camera, although when you are in slide mode, you can’t see the remote participants. The Google Hangout was projected on the screen. We used Google Hangout because they found it was more robust for video, audio, and screen sharing in that remote location.

I would bring the laptop and plug into the phone line and do demos in small groups. There wouldn't be a local node or the phone had some weirdness that prevented me from dialing out successfully. And I had to tape flip chart paper over the windows so it would get dark enough to project the laptop to show the presentation.
