For the past ten days, I’ve been in Rwanda, Africa. The group will working together over the next three years, meeting regularly face-to-face in the different countries as well as work together online. Most of the training days took place in rural Rwanda on Lake Muhazi – which was a beautiful place.

Note from Beth: I’m just finishing up an intensive training here in Rwanda. As an example, here’s a philosophical question for you, one that needs practical answers: To what extent can you engage with unethical partners without becoming tainted yourself? Komen for the Cure is a perfect example of this conundrum.

If you are in charge of communications for your nonprofit or NGO, I recommend you read The She Spot: Why Women Are the Market for Changing the World, and How to Reach Them by Lisa Witter and Lisa Chen. And we've done that through working with a lot of "women's issues" clients. Use real examples of real people. They're busy.
