TechSoup Global has an upcoming Digital Story Telling contest, getting orgs to put together 60 second vid’s about what they do/who they are. At the end of every presentation, they put up a slide where students can either 1) join their cause on Facebook or 2) text them to sign up. It works really well.

In less than 24 hours, I've raised $806 to help children in Cambodia using a new feature in Facebook Causes. Not two minutes had passed after I set up my birthday campaign and added it to my profile, I got pinged from Facebook friends asking how they could install it. Celebrating Birthdays is definitely part of Facebook culture.
