Should there be a nonprofit and social change category on Digg? Digg it here ). The result of these ad hoc collaborations was a folksonomy of terms of nonprofit technology related news and a community of taggers. That discussion generated some good tips for using Digg (as well as other tools).

We want friends lists, favorites, ranking with stars, and perhaps ranking like Digg does. This community will grow, attracting new talent and ideas, which all feeds back into the quality of the project. Open source fosters community collaboration. What do we want? Forums and blogs too!

They built an iGoogle dashboard and fed RSS feeds based on information they were seeking in online social networks. Then, grab the search RSS feed and add it to your iGoogle. We used this technique for DIGG, forums, Twitter, Bing, and Google and then set up various searches along with monitoring of certain Twitter feeds.
