Douglas Zimmerman and Lois Ann Porter traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina to organize the Performance-Based Funding Institute VisionLink produced for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Over the 2-day event, the groups formulated concrete messaging intended to gain legislator, faculty and media support for their work.

In our 2020 Navigating the Unknown Report , we found that over 50% of nonprofits pivoted to virtual events last year. And, we know a lot more about how to host virtual events and engage an online audience than we did last year. This includes online fundraisers, virtual events, and even text fundraising campaigns.
