The Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF) is changing this and giving these children hope — of an education and a better life.

I’m fundraising for the Sharing Foundation , that supports children and young people in Cambodia. Why this charity? Because my children were adopted from Cambodia and it is a way to give back. The Sharing Foundation has a full range of educational programs for children, from pre-school to college sponsorship.

I did a post a few weeks ago on youth programs in TechSoup Global's new Local Impact Map and decided I hadn’t covered this resource nearly enough. Our Local Impact Map. It first works with local community people to see what its children need and then tailors programs that are specific to that locale.

Whether I'm fundraising for Cambodia or Creative Commons , I involve my kids. We have dinner table discussions on why it is important to support causes, particularly programs in Cambodia like the Sharing Foundation. The Charity for Change project is another example where charitable giving is embedded in the curriculum.
