I also was able to meet and have dinner with DDD's Chief Operating Officer, Cynthia Hauck, an experienced outsourcing exec based at DDD's Cambodia offices, who has joined DDD recently. She worked hard to get each student to talk to me 1:1 and use their English, a skill she thinks is crucial for the future.

Over 8 weeks this last fall, I had the privilege of working with NGOs from Afghanistan, Cambodia, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, in a series of trainings that took place in Phnom Penh, Beirut and Istanbul. It was thought-provoking to work with Afghan NGOs in Cambodia. Past partners have included NGOs and nine truth commissions.
