This trip, I carried over two large suitcases of technology t-shirts for the Cambodian Bloggers that were donated by the generous readers of my blog and included nonprofits and web2.0 Like street hawkers.

Almost exactly two years ago, the One Laptop Per Child launched. But when I realized it would take a long time before a small NGO working in a country, like say, Cambodia, might be able to purchase a small number of them (less than 100) to outfit a school, I was disappointed. This event is a biannual training workshop on information, communication, and technologies for citizen media, community health, and civil society development in Mekong Region and included participants are coders, journalists, and NGO staff from Burma, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam. The camp took place in Cha-am, Petchburi, Thailand.

While I was in Chicago, Ryanne Hodson , who I met at last year's BlogHer, is in Cambodia and Southeast Asia with Jay Dedman to document the work of Project Hope International.

I launched a bloggers campaign and Twitter Wall of Fame as part of the Sharing Foundation's America's Giving Challenge. (To Mam Sary also received several of the video cameras Jay Dedman and Ryanne Hodson brought over to Cambodia last July donated by Doug from the video blogging community. I know it is difficult without being there.
