Our learning instruction we receive from youth into early adulthood is fairly regimented; teachers are taught how to convey information to students, and for the most part, they engage in the same methodology across their efforts. Images are a great way to reinforce verbalized and written processes.

The bigger question is this: are the communities that come in contributing positively to the image, visitation, and online messages around your institution?

A year and a half ago, I wrote about Carnegie Mellon-created two games that allow you to competitively tag images on the Web. I'm only at 99 points, but the leading players have logged tens of thousands of points--each of which corresponds a set of tags applied to an image. These games do a great job motivating you TO tag.
