In 2009, writing for a book titled One Meter Square [iv] conceived by and celebrating the art of my Argentinean friend Graciella Sacco, I wrote: If you mark off one meter square on the ground you will see that it is a very small space. Even better, safe public spaces which encourage learning and debate (lecture halls, museums, libraries, etc.)
