I can migrate their Microsoft Access applications to a free Salesforce account. Now they have no need for local applications or data. They can take them anywhere they need, access all their applications and data, never worry about malware, backups, disaster recovery, etc. I use Google Docs , Zoho Writer , and Office Web Apps.

Quick definition Cloud computing is basically running applications on the web via “Software as a Service (SaaS)&#. That includes applications from Google Documents, to Salesforce.com, to Gliffy.com , (the service I used to create that graphic.) Also, you can access the applications anywhere you go.

The tech underground model (loose yet organized affiliation of npo techs who share skills and back each other up) is one of the good models out there. Even a word doc you update every time you’re on site for a client is better than notes scribbled on post-its. 2) Get a wiki. Make sure this is agreed to. -
