Less abstractly, the CE business of non-profit associations is threatened by for-profit CE providers that undercut the associations’ prices. What should bother us is the possibility of lower educational value being associated with the flood of cheap CE “products” into the market.

Recognition programs and messaging associated with them can help build that label and deepen a recipient’s connection to an organization, particularly if the gift bears the nonprofit or event brand.
