I sat down with Emilyn Green, Executive Director of the Community Science Workshop Network , to learn more about their history, design, and engagement strategy. The first one was started in 1991 by a San Francisco educator, Dan Sudran, in his garage. We received two rounds of NSF funding in the 1990s to expand.
