Thousands of nonprofits haven’t logged into their MySpace profiles in months, or even a year or more. Traffic has definitely sloooowed, but the site still has 57 million monthly visitors in the United States ( as of December 2009 ). Age, class, race, and location play a huge role in who uses what social networking sites.

Western audiences came to know Iran through the 2009 election, the internet had been the place where you could find politics happening inside Iran when in person it was very hard there. I think underlying slacktivism isn’t enough – you can’t just turn your profile green. It can be broad but shallow.
