The Louisiana Bucket Brigade (LABB), for instance, has used Ushahidi to document the impacts of oil spills and other petrochemical pollution on human health and the environment. The organization got started when a group of Kenyan bloggers led by Erik Hersman began doing online mapping of violence reports after the 2008 Kenyan election.
